Onew has been out of the k-pop scene for a while now due to the infamous H1N1 virus. Just like JonghyunSHINee
Onew was diagnosed with swine flu on the 7th and revisited the hospital for another checkup on the 13th. SM Entertaiment had assumed he was now ready to finish his break and return back on stage. However, the hospital detected a slight fever, forcing his return to be delayed once again. This includes SHINee's upcoming stage on SBS Inkigayo later tonight.
A representative of SM Entertainment stated:
who also suffered from swine flu, Onew was expected to make a quick recovery and join his fellow members. Unfortunately, it's taking Onew a little longer to recover.
"We have received a doctor's statement that Onew still has a slight fever. We are not going to put Onew back on activities by force, he will continue resting until he fully recovers."Onew will be revisiting the hospital next week for another checkup.
